Job | Group is involved in implementing a new industry for Central Ostrobothnia in Finland. Sibanye-Stillwater's Keliber lithium project consists of mines, the Keliber lithium refinery in Kokkola Industrial Park (KIP) and the concentrator in Päiväneva, Kaustinen. Both plants are under construction. Sibanye-Stillwater’s Keliber lithium project intends to produce responsibly processed lithium hydroxide which is utilized for example in the lithium battery industry. The growing demand for hybrids, plug-in hybrids (PHEV) and electric vehicles (EVs) is driving a strong demand for lithium.

Due to our new sales strategy for the growing and demanding Russian filtration market JobGroup has decided to make changes to the Finnish management structure.

Managing director Mr. Henri Sakomaa of Industri-Textil Job Oy Finland and Industri-Textil Job Russia will be investing all his energy in developing Russian operations and leaving his managing position at Industri-Textil Job Oy.

As of 20.01.2020 deputy managing director Mr.Anssi Rantala will have the sole responsibility of managing all the operations of Industri-Textil Job Oy. Managing director Mr. Henri Sakomaa will however continue as the legal managing director for the time being.

The 12th edition of the Fennoscadian Exploration and Mining conference (FEM) will take place the 29-31 of October in Levi, Lapland, Finland. MMH (Mining and Minerals Hall) is the world meeting that will gather the present and future knowledge of mining. We are moving the Leaktite® production to Kinna! This means that the robot system to make the Leaktite® cloth are placed in Sweden so the production of filter cloth that does not leak is fully integrated from yarn to the finished filter cloth with the internal sealing of the cloths.

Job Group will of course also provide full plate-packs that are fitted for the Leaktite® system. If a system is needed that ensure that there is no leakage in a filter press – look no further, leaktite® will guarantee that there is no leakage of slurry or filtrate from the filter press.

The R&D department inside Job have decided that we will develop a Innovation LAB. This means that we are collecting technical articles, future and present materials and a creative place to work with the future projects and innovations that will give better and more sustainable filtration solutions, technical fabrics and services!

We are installing 2 new looms in Kinna from Dornier! This makes our production more flexible and we will have the most modern weaving looms possible for making filter media.

The R&D team have been reinforced in Sweden with one more textile engineer Anna Björkquist! Anna B have just finished her 6 month trainee as Development engineer at Job in Sweden. This means that Anna B reinforce our R&D Team. Anna B will be responsible for our Lab-services in Sweden. This means Anna will develop and finish analysis of filter medias, fabrics as well as make full filtration test in our Lab. Anna will support all the Sales departments inside Job Group and will be supported by the R&D Team.

Tobias Lindberg have been appointed Technical Director for JobGroup. Tobias has always been part of the technical team of Job Sweden but have during the last years had the positon as Senior Sales Manager and Business Manager for filtration. Tommy Turpeinen, who has earlier worked with Job in the past, have been appointed to replace Tobias in Sales – acting as Senior Sales Manager for the Swedish Filed sales engineers.

With the appointment of Tobias to become the Technical Director of JobGroup we are striving to become the frontrunner in our field by focus on Research and Development in all fields.

Tobias Lindberg has a strong team behind him with co-workers in both R&D departments within the group, a project team for filter unit development and sales but also with joint partners inside Job Alliance. The focus on R&D will put Job Group to become technically the frontrunner in filtration!

Anssi Rantala have joined our team in Finland! Anssi have a very long experience of liquid/solid separation – especially within the Iron ore mining industry. Anssi will reinforce our team in Finland on solid/liquid separation but will also join Job Group for the service world-wide – especially in the mining industry. We are very happy to have Anssi on-board!

As safe and leakage free filtration for filter presses is growing in importance, JobGroup AB ­expands its portfolio with new products and strengthens its in-house competences and ­capabilities through the acquisition of Limburg Filter’s Leaktite technology. All Leaktite production equipment will soon be transferred to the head quarters of JobGroup in Kinna, Sweden.

Leaktite is a brand name for gasketed filter cloths to suit filter plates. The gasket is made of thermoplastic elastomer and can be bonded to almost any filter fabric. It was invented by Frank Kruip of Limburg Filter, who wanted filter presses become safer to operate and make gasketed cloths easier-to-fit.

In addition to fitting and safety enhancements the technology can also give significant ­financial benefits particularly where the filtrate is the clients product. Zero leakage equals zero losses of product.

Job Group is one of the few textile/engineering process companies in Europe that keeps the ­entire ­production chain in-house – from the fiber to the finished product.
