Joaquín Badrinas
Manager Director Finsa Spain

Joaquín Badrinas, Manager Director of Finsa Spain, carries textiles in his DNA. Since the late 1800s the Badrinas family has been one of the most prominent in the Spanish textile industry. The factory Sala & Badrinas in Terrassa, near Barcelona, was once one of the leaders in the production of fabrics for fashion. Joaquín Badrinas is a fifth generation textile industrialist.
“As a result of the crisis in the ’70s and the opening of the borders that flooded the market with cheap textile products from Asia, my father had a vision, to create hi technical and specialized fabrics”,  Joaquín Badrinas says.

Having already part of the infrastructure to make the products and an in-depth knowledge of textiles, the transition to technical fabrics turned out to be a very good investment for the Badrinas family. With the founding of Finsa Industrial Filters, the Catalan company continued to be a leader, now in its new branch. Today, the company exports approximately 80 percent of its production to 40 countries in all corners of the world, such as Mexico, Poland, Russia, Chile. With the remaining 20 percent is distributed in the Iberian market. Finsa’s products are mainly focused on mining, chemical industry and wastewater filtration.

Since 2013 Finsa Spain is part of Job Group and successively members of Job Alliance. By the time of the fusion with Job Group, Joaquín Badrinas was promoted to Managing Director.
“The fusion with Job Group has been a success story. The two companies have a similar past, with families at the running the company. The Bornefalk family of Job Group in Sweden and the Badrinas of Finsa in Spain share the same philosophy within filtering and ways of working, something that makes us unique in Europe”, Joaquín says.
“Job Group provided us with economic-financial stability in a period where the banks had us very tied because of the economic crisis of those years. Together we have been able to promote a vision of selling solutions to the client and not just a product. A new philosophical and strategic vision”,  Joaquín explains.

As a result of the positive development of the entire industrial team at Job Group in recent years, Finsa has been able to make important investments both in infrastructure and in benefits for the staff.
“Among other things we have acquired the land next to the factory, 2000 square meters in which we will build a new industrial warehouse of 1000 meters and in the rest there will be parking area for staff, barbecue and recreation area with a paddle court”,  Joaquin explains.
